Clare Marcussen
Clare Marcussen lives in
Holden and has recently
written for Bangor Metro
and our sister publication,
Real Maine Weddings. When
she's not writing, she's running, discovering
the lesser-known Maine towns, and hanging
out at the Bangor Public Library.
Craig Idlebrook
Craig Idlebrook has been
writing for Bangor Metro
for the past three years. He
recently finished two stories
about a charity scam for
The Bollard and the Hill Country Observer. His
work can also be found in Funny Times, Moth-
ering,
and Mother Earth News. He's currently in a
contest with his daughter to see which of them
can break his computer's keyboard first.
Jennifer Violette
Jennifer Violette joined
Bangor Metro's sales staff
in June. She grew up on
the shores of Long Lake in
St. Agatha. She obtained
her bachelor's in environmental science at
Lyndon State in 2001 as well as a master's
in management from University of Phoenix.
She previously worked in the pharmaceutical
industry before moving back to Maine and
beginning a career in sales. When she's not
on the road for Bangor Metro, you can find her
in her kitchen cooking for her family.

Brian Vanden Brink
Brian Vanden Brink has been
photographing award-win-
ning architecture for over
30 years. Born and raised
in Omaha, Nebraska, Vanden Brink moved to
Maine in 1978 where he began to specialize
in architectural photography. His work has
been featured widely in a variety of design and
consumer magazines including Boston Globe
Magazine
, Coastal Living, Down East, New York
Times Magazine
, Architectural Digest, and Metro-
politan Home
. Vanden Brink uses a large format
view camera and works extensively with natural
light. He occasionally lectures and holds work-
shops. When he's not behind the camera, he can
be seen tooling around Camden with his wife,
Kathleen, in his 1947 Willys Jeep.
